After church on Sunday, we loaded up and went to the Wilson Farm to shoot skeet. It was kind of an extension of celebrating Papa's birthday. I've never shot skeet before and rarely shoot guns at all, but being outside in the beautiful sunshine was just perfect.
These two have birthdays coming soon--and will be turning 4 and 10. It kills me to think of Anne in double digits for some reason. Time is one of those things that just gets to me--it's like we've blinked and 10 years have passed. I've always been sensitive to time, but having children magnifies it tremendously. It's like this ache in my chest that never really goes away.
It's also one of those things that reminds you to live in the moment and soak up every look and smile. To take the time to look at every single thing they want to show you and listen to the silly stories.
Because the truth is...they really are only little for a moment, and before I know it they won't need me anymore like they need me now.
