Today was one of those almost perfect days.
It started with a spin class, then a deep clean of the loft and sprucing up the planters outside, and ended with a fun afternoon with the two best kids I know.
We took a walk this afternoon and I couldn't get over how beautiful our neighborhood is during spring...but really anytime of year.

Liam quickly spotted the moon and kept telling it "night, night"  You might guess that Goodnight Moon is an almost nightly read at our house!

Anne was on a mission to collect things for her cricket habitat.  The cricket that she hasn't found just yet.  I do love her spirit and creativity!
On another note, can we just freeze this weather we're having and keep it forever??!  I was made to thrive in sunny 65 degree days!

We've been enjoying the most beautiful weather the past couple of days.  On Monday's Anne has art with Uncle Adam which usually ends up as a cousin play date afterwards.
I really hope these three always have this much fun together!
In other news, life has been kind of weird lately.  It seems like there are so many new things on the horizon which often makes me feel like hyperventilating.  It's mostly exciting things, but still, change is SCARY sometimes.  I bet you can relate.
I'm very excited to report that Michael is making progress on his dissertation--thank the Lord!  He is working late every single night and has pretty much quit life to get it done.  We've decided this is his year!  No more school.  No more working every night and weekend.  We can do this for this ONE least that's what we're telling ourselves.  I think this must be how it feels to run a marathon...keeping on going even when you don't think you can.  This will be a huge burden lifted when it is finished.  I really can't help but imagine how care free we will feel.  I'm just gonna cry I'll be so darn happy!!  Until then, I'm holding on to this verse.

Have you not known?  Have you not heard?  the Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth.  He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.  He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.
Isaiah 40: 28-29

I'm thankful for the friends and family that have been so supportive of us.  Life is so much sweeter when you have people to share it with...even the hard times.

With last week being spring break and all we did a whole bunch of nothing--or maybe just a whole bunch of whatever we felt like doing!  I feel like we watched a little too much tv, ate a little too much junk food, but had lots of happy time together, which seems like a win to me!
I did end up exercising almost everyday, so that countered some of that junk food/tv watching.

I'm so very glad that we've made it to spring break.  Anne has been working on the play Alice in Wonderland for the past two months and we wrapped it up with three performances over this past weekend.  The week leading up to the show is always the hardest with rehearsals every night.  But I'd say this was Anne's best performance yet!  She was great on that stage and didn't miss a single line!  I'm a proud mama :)
This little girl has lots of people that love and support her.  I hope she realizes how much she's loved!
