Happy Thanksgiving!  We're spending the day with family and friends and I've been dreaming about dressing so that's gonna finally happen!  It's been so fun with Liam starting to talk lately.  He'll pretty much repeat anything you say.  Here's a little video we took last week...the good stuff starts about a minute in.

Today when we got home from piano, we noticed all the leaves had fallen off the ginkgo tree outside our building.  I could have sworn they were still on the tree this morning.  It's like this magic fairy came by and scattered all of these beautiful, yellow leaves on our little patch of grass just for us!
Anne and Liam immediately ran and started playing, so I grabbed the camera.
I really can't tell you how thankful I am for this little girl.  She is such a little mama to Liam, and he doesn't know how lucky he is to have her.  I wouldn't make it everyday without her big help!
It wasn't long before we were all piling the leaves up so they could jump in.
Liam helped some...
then he'd wave and say hello to people passing by.
He is seriously the sweetest boy.
Even though it seems impossible, I love these kiddos more every single day.  Life is hard sometimes, but they make even the hardest moments bearable.  I can't remember not being a mama...and I never dreamed that God would bless me with two little humans that were this wonderful.
My heart is definitely full.

It was funny that Saturday morning, we seemed to all wake up and have going to Gran and Dink's on our mind.  Michael's grandparents are some of the greatest people I have the pleasure of knowing, and it always makes me sad that we don't go and spend more time with them.
We got a head start on Christmas and started listening to Christmas music and then decorated this gingerbread house.  Anne sure does love a project!
There's always a piano concert.  Now Anne is having to share the spotlight with Liam.  She is such a great big sister though and never complains about him wanting to steal the show.
I'm thankful for these times.  I know that some day, it won't be like this.  We won't drive to Heidelberg, MS and get to see two people that love us so much.  But, I can't think about that...I just have to focus on the right now and take every opportunity with the people I love.
Today is the day, right?

I'm not sure what we did to deserve this man as our Papa, but I sure am thankful for him and for all the things he does to help take care of us.  He is more of a dad to me than I've ever had.  I try to keep this space about all the good stuff, so I won't go into all the details of my childhood.  But I will say that Mark and Cyndi have/were the best thing to have ever happened to me outside of my relationship with Christ.  They have constantly been there and guided me through tough decisions, provided the family environment that I always dreamed of, and just loved me.

Now Mark keeps Liam a few days a week for us while we're working.  It is a huge blessing to not have to have full time daycare.
He is constantly texting me throughout the day and sending pictures of what Liam's doing.

There's nothing better than having piece of mind that your children are safe and well cared for.
Can I get an amen mamas???

We had a super busy Halloween weekend planned --trick or treating, birthday parties, and our church fall festival.  But Liam started running a high fever early Friday morning and that threw a little kink in our plans.  Turns out he had a touch of pneumonia and some kind of fever virus where he broke out in a rash.  After a shot and getting started on all his meds, he was actually feeling a lot better by that evening.  So even though it was cool out, we decided to at least let him trick or treat at one house.  We had to have pictures!!

Michael and I had been planning all week that we would dress as Mary Poppins and Bert--just my favorite child hood movie of all time!!!

Anne and Liam were sporting a minion and Mike Wosowski--a few of our other favorite characters!

And after Liam trick or treated from the Stancill's we sent he and Michael home to get out of the cold while we walked and visited with lots of other spooky characters.

We ran into lots of friends along 6th Avenue.  This street is truly magical on Halloween night.

And after Michael left with Liam, Brooke took over the part of Bert...she's such a good sport.

Even though Liam was sick, we still managed to have a really good weekend.
I hope you got to enjoy it with family and friends too!
