Yesterday was one of those days where we seemed to be out of everything and didn't know what in the world we would cook for dinner. I was feeling really tired and didn't want to go to the grocery store then back home to cook, so I started digging in the pantry and decided we'd have brinner (breakfast for dinner.)
I never use a recipe to make biscuits because my grandma taught me how and I've always just "eyeballed" it...BUT of course I was out of self rising flour, so I decided to try the biscuit recipe on the back of the Martha White all purpose flour bag.

I rolled them out a little thinner than it said and let Anne help cut them out with our heart shaped cutter. Because hearts are prettier than circles.

This made for a crunchy little biscuit that tasted ahhhmazing...I mean really. You put a little tomato gravy or honey...SO GOOD!!!

It's funny to me that sometimes the best dinners come out of empty cupboards.
Here's the recipe if you want to try it. :)
