weekly wordrobe: pink tights

You may not know this about me, but I really love fashion.  I mean, what girl doesn't right?
I've decided in my ventures to step out of my comfort zone and become a little more fashionable, I'm going to try to post a weekly outfit.  This will hopefully help me to not have too many of those pajama days...we all know that life is a little more productive if we get up and dressed in the mornings.
I feel like as much as I love bright colors and outfits that stand out a little, it's hard for me to become the center of attention when wearing some of these focal pieces.

So Wednesday when I was getting dressed, which happens to be my day to work in Laurel, I ended up pulling out this old black dress that I've had for ages and decided I would pair it with my bright pink tights I purchased on clearance last spring.  I know it's 100 degrees outside, but I wanted to think fall.  Lord knows I am ready for fall!

dress and tights: clearance from Belk
belt: borrowed from my sister
shoes: gifted from a friend

For those of you that can relate to this and want to try to step out of your comfort zone a little, I'm thinking of doing a weekly link up where you can share your outfits with each other and encourage each other.  What do you think?  Would you participate?

  1. Ok, I would not...only because I'm a chicken. You look ADORABLE, though! I just wish I had it in me. I think I'm probably too old to step too far out of my comfort zone where fashion is concerned;)

  2. okay... i'm going to go ahead and admit i'm a creepy stalker! i just moved to hattiesburg and i saw your blog on the click boutique's facebook page. i'm just enthralled with your etsy goodies! do you still have room in your sewing class? i am a beginner, but would love to learn. also, i read your 30 things and they are eerily similar to my 28 things before i turn 28. i think we could be friends! (no pressure.)
