Date Night.

It's definitely been a while since Michael and I have had a night completely to ourselves.  Thanks to Gigi (aka Cyndi) we were able to have just that last night. I LOVE my little girl, but grown up time is fun every now and then.  We had a great time with our friends and ran into some we haven't seen in months :) For some reason all of the pictures are a little blurry, but I kind of like them anyway!

I finally wore my new pink tights... :)
Grayson Capps and band...they were sooo fun!

really bad picture of us...oh well, we were having fun
our drinks of choice :)

Now, all I can think about is when I'm going to get my Anne...  Hope you all have a great Saturday!

a little etsy update...FINALLY!

So, I finally listed some new things in the etsy store today.  Our stuffing is still on back order, so that's holding us up a little.  I should have some more capes in the shop by the weekend, though. We have already got a pretty good start on bunnies :) Thank goodness Easter is a little later this year!

Have a lovely night!

weekend in photos :)

This weekend has been super busy, but really fun! I took Anne to Conner's 3rd bday party Saturday morning...It was a monster truck theme and at a gymnastic gym. Needless to say, the kids had a blast!

As if that wasn't enough fun, we then decided to meet some sweet new friends at Diddy Bop's (aka...indoor jump playground) for the evening.  We had a great time, but were definitely pooped by the end of the night.

I'm so thankful to have this precious little family. God has blessed me beyond belief.

I hope you all have had a great weekend too! I'll be back tomorrow with a few of my newest etsy faves!

For those of you that know me, probably know that I'm married to a creative, computer lovin' guy.  I have ALWAYS relied on him to do my photoshopping (which isn't very much.) But, I have recently been interested in learning a little about it myself.  As I try to revamp my blog and am constantly wanting to make little changes here and there, I really see a need to learn.  This collage of photos is my first little project, and I was super excited about it! I really wanted it to be more square, but oh well...I'm sure I'll be begging Mr. Trest for help soon!  oh, and a BIG thanks to Kayla Gates for helping me get started last night :)
Just thought I'd share what I'm spending my free time doing today...hope you're all having a great Friday!

a day at the museum...

At the last minute, I decided Anne and I would go to Jackson today with Steph and Nat to the Children's Museum.  We had such a wonderful time, and I definitely recommend that you take a trip if you have children. It was an endless playground of learning and make believe. The girls had a blast minus the whole trip through your digestive system... They were freaked out just a little by the noises the stomach makes :) We took TONS of photos, but here are a few of my fave.

As you can see, it was a fantastic fun-filled day!

I love Tuesday's for so many reasons...obviously, I have sewing class as I posted here...but today was extra special because two of my favorite ladies were able to join us for coffee :) AND we got to babysit sweet little Ben and that was the icing on the cake!

a mouse party in the works...

I can't believe in a little over a month we'll be celebrating Anne's 4th birthday.  She has already informed me that she wants a Mickey and Minnie party, but she would love for all the characters to come :) I'm trying to get ahead on planning and here are a few things that are giving me inspiration. If you have any great ideas, I'm all ears :D

why I love Tuesday

Every Tuesday for almost a year, I have taught my sewing class. A few people have come and gone, but Lauren and Casey have been with me the whole time. I love these girls, and look forward to spending those 1 1/2 to 2 hours with them each week. It's girl time at its best! I've often told them that they are so good at sewing they could probably teach me a thing or two, but they keep coming....and boy am I glad. I am extremely thankful for them and their friendship :)

Tonight we made these cowls using knit fabric. They are really light weight and could be worn into the spring and summer. I'm loving them so much you may see them pop up in our etsy store :)

thrift finds vol. 1

Today was obviously a great day for thrifting!  I was so excite to find these nesting Pyrex mixing bowls, Pyrex baker, and stainless steel Thermos!

I'm usually not a great thrift shopper.  I really don't like to dig through a lot of junk to get to the good stuff, but I've been pleasantly surprised by how organized the stores are here in Hattiesburg.  One of my goals for this year is to do more thrift shopping and of course I'll be sharing my finds here :) I've also decided to join Project ReStlyle with Elsie and Rachel!  I'm really excited to try to bring new life to old things. If you need a New Year's challenge, you should join too!

super girls

 Super Anne and Super Natalie

I'm pretty sure if I'd have had a cape and a mask disguise I could have saved the world as a kid :)
These will soon be offered in our shop.

We found out yesterday that Anne is sick with the flu. I'm trying to sanitize everything, take care of this sweet girl, and not go stir crazy from staying cooped up all week. Maybe I'll muster up the energy to go clean out her room...just maybe.
