What I did today and Pushing Daisies..

today I:

-ate lunch at Cracker Barrel with my family (Anne's suggestion) and thought of my Sweet Grandma

-can't stop thinking about being in the mountains (we are planning a little camping trip for October :)

-shopped ALL over Hattiesburg looking for Anne the perfect shoes for school...not very successful

-found 2 really cute pairs of shoes for myself...on major sale by the way

-quick stop in Hancock's but didn't find exactly what I was looking for...

-dropped in to the Post Office and Anne gave everyone in line a cool breeze with her Scooby fan.

Tonight we will be having a mini Pushing Daisies party with chicken pie and apple pie....if you haven't watched this show, it's my new favorite and so lovely.  Too bad they only made two seasons...sad!

great success!

I have to say that the wedding went off without a hitch last night!  It was a perfect day for Brooke and Brandon, which is exactly the way it's supposed to be.  I'm sad to say that I didn't take a single picture from the entire weekend...so saaaadddd!  I was too busy trying to make sure everything was running smoothly to lug that camera around!

so...I borrowed these pics from Erin...

Needless to say, we are pooped today...I even took a nap!  For those of you that know me well, know that's pretty much unheard of!  Anne and I will definitely be taking a rest day tomorrow!

Hope you all have a great night!

It's Friday and ONE day before the wedding!

This week has been quite the roller coaster ride...We've been trying to tie up every loose end for the wedding and trying to have a little fun amongst the chaos!  I know we will look back on this time with my sister and wish that we could have just relaxed and enjoyed the ride, but that it soooo hard for me to do.  I'll be stressing till we get to the reception and I see everything is perfect!

What are you guys doing fun this weekend???

flower bouquets

We had a wonderful time making flower bouquets for Brooke's wedding.  It's hard to believe that my little sister will be married...so weird!
I borrowed these pics that Gabby took to share with you!  I love that we are using fabric flowers...they will last forever!

Happy Saturday!

one busy week :)

This has been such a super busy week...I feel like I need to stop. and. take. a. deep. breath.  We decided this week to try and sell our car.  We've planned on it for a while, but just now really trying.  With me staying home, we really want a car with a lower note and hopefully better gas mileage.  Also, we are selling my bike so that I can get a road bike :)  I'm excited to be able to ride with the gang.

Also, I finally got Annie Poo signed up for dance classes for the fall.  She is really excited and keeps telling people she's taking bal-la-lay...too funny!
And for you guys that know Anne, you know that she is a pretty busy child.  We've decided that she really needs to have some sort of school and interaction with other kiddos her age, so we've found a wonderful part time preschool that she will start in September.  It's just 3 days a week and half of a day.  She is going to love it!  ...and it will give mommy sewing time :)

Here are a few pics Michael took last weekend while we were in Greenwood.  I thought they were great so I had to share!
We saw the most beautiful sunset as we drove in..it was perfect.

...loved this bridge that was all lit up.

P.S.  I haven't forgotten to tell all of you about our exciting news that I mentioned last week.  We are opening a small retail area in 106 Oak Street Place!  We have been working really hard to get our inventory ready and everything prepared.  Our first day open will be Monday the 15th...so all you Laurel folks, come by and see us!

Have a great Tuesday!

weekend plans :)

This girl loves photo booth...at the moment all I hear is "Let's do one more picture!"  She is our little blessing (I decided to call her that instead of a mess..maybe it'll wear on her :)

I will surely miss my little shadow this weekend. Michael and I are heading to Greenwood for a bike ride that he is doing in the morning, and she will be staying with Gigi and Papa.  I am so excited because we get to hang out with some of our BEST friends...the Hathorns and the Slaughters.  I am sure it will be filled with lots of laughs and good food!

What are you doing fun this weekend???

calling cards :)

My very talented friend, Erin, just designed Hello Dearie's new calling cards.  Aren't they amazing???  I absolutely love her style and am constantly trying to think of a reason to get something she's created.  You can check out her other work here

Weekend.

love this photo Michael took of the outside of our apartment.

In other news, we had quite a busy weekend.  Saturday was the Mad Hatter Tea Party bridal shower for my little sis, Brooke.  We worked really hard to get this together, and it was totally worth it! It was definitely the best bridal shower I have attended :)  ...and she got lots of great gifts!  Thanks everyone for helping!  I haven't uploaded pics yet, but plan to later tonight.   I have so much to do today, and some exciting news to share later :)

Hope you all have a great Monday!
xoxo, Dawn
